The Rainy Window Coffee Book

Six small ways to enjoy the cup you already make.

01

The first cup

Before the messages, notice what you have. Coffee you like. A clean cup. Somewhere to put it down. A lovely morning does not need a new machine or a better kitchen. Clear enough space to make your drink without moving a pile. That is the whole beginning.

What do you reach for first? What could live closer to it?

02

Dark and cloudy

Make your usual espresso or strong coffee. Let it cool before pouring it over ice in a food-safe takeaway cup. Add a little of your usual milk slowly and watch the color change. Taste before sweetening. The pleasure is in noticing the cup you made, not matching a photograph. Keep milk refrigerated until you need it.

Coffee: __. Milk: __. What would I change next time? __.

03

The useful corner

Give brewing, pouring, and cleaning a place. Keep compatible capsules beside the machine, a cloth near the sink, and the cup within reach. Leave the counter a landing spot. Before buying another organizer, try the arrangement for three mornings. You will learn more from reaching for things than from measuring an empty shelf.

One thing that saves me a step: __.

04

A cup worth filming

Start with the light. Face the cup toward a window and check what appears behind it. Record the ice, the dark pour, the milk arriving, and the finished drink. Hold each shot still for a moment before moving. Save the original clips in a dated folder before editing. The unfinished footage belongs to the work, too.

My four shots: ice / coffee / cloud / finished cup.

05

Use what is left

Look at what you already have before planning another flavor. Write down the coffee, milk, and sweetness you used. Change one thing next time so you know what made the difference. A kitchen experiment can be a good story without being a finished recipe. Call it an experiment until the amounts and method work reliably.

Version: __. One change: __. Result: __.

06

Tomorrow can be simple

Wash the cup, wipe the little landing spot, and leave the next morning one fewer decision. Put a favorite spoon where you can see it. There is no need to stage the room. The rain will do something different tomorrow; the cup can remain familiar. Keep one small part of your morning for enjoyment before it becomes material for anybody else.

Tomorrow I would like my coffee moment to feel: __.
