Coffee, cereal & cuddles.
Some days, this is enough.
Some days it’s just making the coffee, cereal and cuddles—and that’s all you can do.
The kitchen moves quickly. The coffee gets stirred, the cereal gets poured, and there’s a small, ordinary sweetness in having something warm to hold.
Then there’s the part that never needs speeding up: sitting close. A child tucked beside you. The dog nearby. The little pause after everyone has something to eat.
I can make a whole morning look effortless in thirty-six seconds. Living it takes longer. So does remembering that a quiet day still counts.
If your list is longer than your energy today, you’re welcome here. Make the coffee. Feed your people. Sit down for the cuddle.
